I got a call from someone who refused to say which company they were with. They kept interrupting me and kept claiming they had my private info legally under the Data Protection Act or something. They said they were my local energy advisor but couldn’t even say what region they covered! They also tried to guess what sort of insulation I had, but it was obvious they had no idea at all. They said they’d ring me back later when it was more convenient. The caller spoke really nicely and sounded convincing, which I reckon could easily fool a few people. Pretty shady if you ask me.
