Got a call from "Carphone Warehouse" saying they were offering EE upgrades. They were really impolite and even began swearing at me.

1# 020 3985 5813 2# 020 3985 5893 #1 rang me the other day, but I just let it ring and blocked it. Today #2 called, almost the same number. Again, I ignored it and blocked. This is absolutely ridiculous and more companies & GOVERNMENT should be doing way more to stop these bloody pests. They’re the ones trying to scam the elderly out of their savings. The courts don’t do a thing since most are foreign. If you get calls from numbers you don’t know, don’t pick up, especially mobile ones, as they’re using those now too, along with these 020 numbers.

Got a call about my life insurance. They had some info right but mixed up a lot too. Kept asking why they were ringing me. They even had the wrong birthdate, so I said I wasn’t interested. Then he got pushy so I just ended the call and blocked the number.

A bloke called William Carter called me up with an accent that wasn’t from round here, saying he was from the Life Review Department and wanted to go over my life insurance. I said it wasn’t a good time and asked him to confirm who he really was and get his number. Told him I needed to check it wasn’t some kind of scam, and he was really polite about it, thanked me and all that. It was an unexpected call and I know no legit insurance firm does these cold calls like that - oh, and he tried to offer my policy number, which I didn’t have handy so I didn’t let him say it out loud!

Spoke to them in English and said they had the wrong person, and that they shouldn’t be ringing my personal number. I’m on the TPS list, so I’m going to start blocking them now.

Somebody called trying to sell me a new life insurance policy but had no clue about what I already had and couldn’t answer any of my questions properly! You could hear a call centre noise in the background.

The person on the other end had such a thick accent, barely spoke English at all. Fed up with these 0203 calls, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away!

Got a call from 0203 9855878 earlier at about 1 pm, some bloke said he was from some policy company talking about my life insurance. I told him I wasn’t interested right away, then the guy named Michael asked what exactly I wasn’t interested in. I then asked where he got my number since it’s on the TPS list, and he just hung up. Felt pretty fishy to me, probably a scam.

Got a call today from a lady with a thick accent, barely understood her. She said it was about reviewing my life insurance. When I asked which company she was from (or maybe just a lucky shot), she told me to email them. Then she just said she’d cancel my policy and hung up! Definitely a scam!!!

got a call from a woman saying she was from some life insurance firm wanting to do my yearly check-up. when i told her this was the first time i'd heard of it, she said there'd been loads of updates and stuff. i asked, “is this one of those prank calls?”, she said “no, it’s about your life insurance.” i went, “what life insurance exactly?”. after that i just let her ramble on by herself.

i'd say just block this number on ur phone and tell ur friends and family as well, dont pick up no matter what. its a scam call pretending to be HMRC, saying youll get into trouble if u dont reply or call back. if u talk to them, u might end up paying loads on your phone bill. seriously, just stay clear of this number!
