I receive a call from this number on a daily basis, yet they never seem to bother leaving a message.

I've been receiving numerous calls throughout the day from this unfamiliar number, 02039850389. Despite blocking it, they persist in ringing me at various hours. It's rather frustrating!

What sort of idiot calls someone expecting an important hospital update and ends up being this annoying tosser? Honestly, I could use far worse words for this miserable excuse of a person who thinks it’s fine to bother people like that. It’s beyond frustrating how some folks have the nerve to just prey on others like it’s a game.

This number rang me back about four times saying I ended the call early when I hadn’t. After the first few calls, my partner nicely told them to stop ringing us. Haven’t heard from them since, which is a relief!

Totally looks like a scam, so I just blocked the number. They called once on Monday 24-08-2020 at 3:23pm, then rang me four times today, Tuesday 25-08-2020, at 9:30am, 12:39pm, 3:39pm and 5:33pm. Different blokes each day. They tried to get me into some sort of lottery. Oddly, they already had my full name, address and postcode. Asked a lot about my house too. Wanted me to set up a direct debit for their lottery thing. Number’s blocked now.

Someone called me claiming I’d won free lottery tickets for the draw on 29th August. Afterwards, they tried to get me to set up a direct debit for discounted tickets starting in October. I told them I don’t share personal info on calls from unknown numbers. I asked them to send all the info in an email so I could have a proper look. Of course, no email came through. They said they’d ring me back in a few days. Now that I realise it’s a dodgy scam, I’m curious how it will go.

I got a call from someone claiming I could get free lottery tickets, then he switched to saying I could buy cheaper ones if I set up a direct debit. When I said I never share my bank details over the phone, he got really defensive. He kept insisting he was genuine but couldn’t answer simple questions, which made me suspicious. I've been getting calls from this number loads over the past couple days. Told them to remove me from their list but they just kept going. They said they were from some sort of financial firm and even tried to get the phone owner's name, which felt really dodgy. This should definitely be shut down, it's really taking advantage of people who might not be able to protect themselves.

This number called me like 8 times today, and on the ninth time I finally picked up. The guy on the phone wanted me to answer some questions, saying I'd get 10 free lottery entries after. I said I wasn’t interested, and he started sounding a bit irritated. I told him I’d had a rough day at work and wasn’t in the mood for it. Then he asked what I did for a living, and I told him I’m a detective sergeant. Not sure why, but right after that he just hung up. Weird experience!
