No message was left, so I'd say be careful.

This number has been ringing me loads over the past few days, but I've never picked up. Not once did they bother to leave a voicemail either. If they want to come across as genuine, leaving a message would be a good start.

Got a voicemail from someone saying they were HMRC and warning about some kind of prosecution... definitely sounds dodgy to me!

Someone called saying they were from the tax office. When I asked what they wanted, they just hung up on me. Definitely a scam.

Got a robotic voicemail saying I needed to ring back straight away. No info about who it was from or why, so there’s no way I’m bothering to call.
