I told him he should already know who he was ringing. Then he said I owed £3395 in tax and asked how I would settle it. I told him I didn’t owe any tax at all. After that, he said they’d dialled the wrong number and just ended the call.

I've been receiving persistent calls from this number, and they left a rather alarming voicemail suggesting that if I or my solicitor don't respond soon, I should brace myself for impending court proceedings. They claim to represent HMRC, but upon further investigation, I’ve found no legitimate ties to them whatsoever. Quite unsettling, really!

I got a call from a creepy automated lady's voice saying she was from HMRC. It was hard to make out what she was saying, but I caught her warning me about legal trouble. She left a phone number to ring back. No doubt about it, this was a total scam!

Got a voicemail at 12:12 from a recorded message with a female voice saying she was Officer Denis Gray from HM Revenue & Customs. She warned that if me or my lawyer didn’t ring back on 0203 984 8976, there would be legal trouble. Totally a scam - HMRC wouldn’t threaten you like that or call from a number that shows up on your phone.

This has got to be a scam, told me some so-called officer from HMRC was after me. What a load of nonsense! They even ended the call with "goodbye and take care," which just made it feel all the more dodgy.

They said they were some kind of officer and warned me about "legal consequences" if I didn’t respond. The weird part was it was a recorded female voice, not a real person.
