I received a call from someone claiming to be with a boiler servicing firm, attempting to push their maintenance contracts onto me. When I began to ask a few questions, he became rather rude and unprofessional. Not the best customer service, if you ask me!

Got a call from this number claiming I’ve got a boiler insurance policy with them. They kept saying the address was mine, but it was totally wrong. They said they were from some company called ‘Domestic Care’ and kept pushing that I had an active policy with them. Really fishy.

Got a message claiming it was BT saying they'd shut off my internet and landline due to some "suspicious activity." Totally a con, just trying to scam people out of their cash. Absolute disgraceful scam artists.

On 4th Nov 2020, I got a call from someone named ‘Kirk’ claiming it was about my account. I told him I didn’t have any account with them and then I ended the call straight away.

I just got a ring from a lady saying she was from a home appliance service company, wanting to chat with my husband. I told her he wasn’t around, and she asked if I could handle it instead. She mentioned something about my boiler insurance needing renewing. I asked her which boiler she meant, and all she said was to put my husband on. I reminded her again he wasn’t here, and she then hung up on me. Fingers crossed she calls again because my husband will be prepared to deal with her. He’s a heating engineer, and I’m sure he’ll have a few words for her!

I've been getting loads of calls supposedly from some "domestic appliances" company offering a free boiler. Seems like a proper scam to me, been happening loads lately. Watch out!

Got a call about some boiler insurance, which I don’t even have with that company. They seemed quite pushy, honestly makes me worry about how older folks get treated with this sort of thing.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Domestic & General, saying they could slash my premium by 50%. They insisted on verifying my bank info and wouldn’t accept me refusing. I ended up hanging up.

yeah, some dodgy outfit trying to flog boiler servicing contracts. they clearly didn’t bother checking because they had me listed as having a gas boiler, which I don't even have. feels like it's the season for these boiler maintenance scams or something, I’ve been flooded with calls from these types since christmas. blocked every one of them now. I reported them as suspicious because I reckon they're after your bank details to empty your account.

Not really sure who was on the line, but I overheard my elderly mum sounding a bit confused during the call, then she ended it quickly. I was thinking about blocking the number anyway, but now I'm definitely going to.

Had a phone call from a savvy older English lady the other day. She chatted me through my current boiler policy for a Vaillant, so clearly she’s got some info already. Then she said the good news was my policy dropped by £2.10 a month. She just wanted me to set up a new direct debit, simple enough. But the clincher was when she asked me to make up a password and just tell it to her! Proper clever scam, sounds completely legit until you think twice.

They called me about some policy that doesn’t even exist for my Valiant boiler. No idea who these people are. I’d say just don’t pick up.
