Got a call from a bloke talking about forex and overseas payments - he seemed pretty sharp. Trouble is, we only settle with our suppliers in pounds. To be fair, the deals he’s arranged for some mates sound ace, makes me wish we dealt in euros or dollars!

Got a call from a bloke at Capex wanting to talk to the Director about some invoice financing. When I told him the Director wasn’t the right person, he switched to saying it was regarding foreign exchange. Once I said we didn’t require any forex services, he just ended the call. They’ve rung a couple of times before, claiming they’d already spoken to the Director, but I’m certain they never have.

I got a call from a really nice bloke who ended up saving me more than £12,000 on foreign exchange fees. He took the time to explain how the market operates and showed us ways to make it work in our favour. Honestly, I'd say it's worth answering these calls sometimes - not every cold caller is out to scam you!

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent trying to pitch a job to me. I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Not sure if it’s a scam or legit, to be honest.

Got a call from some cheeky kid at Capex, he wouldn’t say what it was about and just ended the call on me. Hope you have a good one, mate.

Got a call this morning from Capex Overseas Finance. Total annoyance, just another cold call trying to sell something I didn’t ask for.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be with Capex international payments, even knew the name of my business. Told him we don’t use their services and he just hung up. When I asked him to remove me from their system, he agreed without any fuss.

They wanted to chat with someone in accounts, especially the one handling foreign exchange stuff. I just told them we’re sorted with our current setup and then ended the call.

They asked for account details right away, so I had to dig around a bit before discovering it was about foreign currency exchange. Bit annoying that you have to press through to get that info...

Got calls all the time asking for the Accounts Payable or Finance department. It's obvious they're from a call centre, and they really don't take kindly when you tell them they can't get any more info about our company. It's always the same bloke ringing, and he’s pretty nasty, snapping at our team. I asked nicely for them to take us off their list, and he just swore at me and slammed the phone down.

Got a call from some foreign exchange place, total cold call out of the blue.

Got a call asking to be put through to accounts. Told the person there’s a special email for that and we’re not meant to share account stuff over the phone. They said they already had the email and said they’d use that, which seemed fine. Didn’t catch who they said they were with though.

Honestly, this caller barely seems to know anything about business, or maybe they’re just some kind of scammer with zero skills.

Got a call about moving money overseas. Heard loads of noise like a hectic office behind the person. They hung up pretty quickly.

Got a call from some overseas currency trading guy trying to drum up clients. Typical telemarketer really.

Got a ring from someone claiming to be from Accounts Payable, but I could hear loads of background noise, like at one of those call centres. They started rambling about handling foreign currency, out of the blue. No way I’m giving any info to some random cold caller about money!
