02039833511 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02039833511 πŸ‘† is reported as a nuisance number linked to scam calls impersonating HMRC. Callers receive automated threatening messages urging them to call back immediately or face legal consequences, often mentioning a case officer’s name. Recipients commonly find no legitimate HMRC verification, and genuine HMRC contact usually begins with formal letters, not cold calls. Many have reported silent calls, aggressive responses upon callback, and inappropriate behaviour from supposed agents. Vulnerable groups, including the elderly, have been targeted, causing significant distress. The consensus advises against returning calls, blocking the number, and verifying concerns directly through official HMRC channels. These scam calls are persistent, unprofessional, and should be treated with scepticism and caution to avoid fraud.

I just saw I missed a call from this number. Wondering who it might have been.

Got a call from this number but no one said anything before they just dropped the call. I’ve blocked it now.

Got a call from this number but they didn’t leave a voicemail. After reading what others have said, I’m baffled as to why the authorities haven’t put a stop to whoever’s behind it or took any legal action.

Just got a voicemail that basically said the same thing others have mentioned here. I was a bit uneasy at first, but now I’m really annoyed that anyone would stoop so low to trick folks like this. It’s a relief to see it’s a scam, but even if it turns out not to be, I’ll hold off on any response since I’m certain I’ve done nothing wrong.

Got a message saying I needed to ring back some HMRC bloke called Dennis Grey. Sounded pretty threatening, like some kind of official warning or something. Feels dodgy to me!

Like others have mentioned, I got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, warning me about legal trouble if I didn’t ring back the automated number they left.

Like a few folks have pointed out already, it's a bogus HMRC call.

I just got a recorded voicemail from this number, claiming to be from a case officer named Dennis from HMRC. They urged me to call back to prevent any legal issues - but I have no idea who this is!

I received a voicemail from a number stating it was HMRC, urging me to return the call right away or risk some serious legal trouble. A solicitor also mentioned that I should reach out without delay. I felt rushed as I listened, but I’ve been tied up and couldn’t get back to it yet - the caller number was 0203983351. Quite alarming, really!

Got a call saying it was from HMRC about a “urgent matter” that needed sorting quick. They warned me about possible legal trouble if I didn’t respond, but then oddly finished with “take care”!. Reminded me of a call like this one I got about a year back. Glad this site lets me look up numbers to spot these scams.

Just got a call but didn't pick up. Then a voicemail came through, sounded really scary - some bloke saying he's from HMRC and threatening me with legal issues if I don't get back to them. Be careful, these are definitely scammers trying to frighten you!

Just this week, my mate got a call from these lot, then they rang my 85 year old mum who was proper scared, and even my 93 year old aunt believed she was being sent to jail! She even went to the bank to take out cash to pay them (I told the police). Now they've tried the same trick on me. It's disgusting this keeps happening and I wonder who’s sharing numbers with these crooks. Definitely blocking all of them!

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Pretending to be HMRC? Total amateurs these scammers. Honestly, if someone falls for this rubbish, they really shouldn't be dealing with important stuff like that. Like my teachers used to say, if you’re ever unsure, just ask someone for advice.

I had a call just like this one, with someone pretending to be from HMRC. They tried to scare me into giving info, but I knew it was a scam. They sound very official but definitely don’t fall for it!

I received a voicemail claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs, insisting that I must return their call right away or I would "suffer legal repercussions." The number shown was unrecognised.

I got a similar call today, it went straight to my voicemail. There was this robotic sounding lady claiming to be from HMRC telling me to ring them or get a solicitor to call back or else there would be “consequences”. It ended with “have a nice day!!!” which felt a bit off. Obviously no chance I’m ringing that number back.

I got a voicemail from a lady sounding all official, saying it was HMRC ringing and that either I or my "solicitor on record" needed to get back to them right away. It was obviously dodgy, so I didn't bother hearing the whole thing or even thinking about calling them back.

I answered the phone with a quick hello and in the background, I could hear noises that sounded like a busy call centre or an office setting. Oddly enough, the line went dead right after.

I got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC. I've had calls like this before, and they even showed HMRC’s number on my phone once, so watch out, it could be a trick.

I got a call from someone who said they were with HMRC, but honestly, I reckon it was a scam. The bloke had a thick accent and his English was really bad. He kept saying I owed loads and loads of money. Luckily, I just told him my name and nothing else. When I asked him for more details, he got quite rude and just ended the call on me.

Somebody called me saying they were from HMRC, gave a name and some sort of reference number. They said I had to call back or there would be serious trouble. Then they wrapped up with a polite thanks and goodbye. These scammers are getting way too clever now, using proper names and references. What a lot of muppets!

Like the others have said, I got a voicemail from someone saying they were 'Dennis' at HMRC. I rang back and got some idiot with an Indian accent on the phone who ended up trying to insult me - didn’t work though!

Got a voicemail supposedly from HMRC, but the way they ended it was sketchy - something like "if you don't respond, expect legal action." Yeah, right. Definitely not ringing them back.
