Virgin Media really handled this badly. I got a call from some random number and a person I didn't recognise said they were from Virgin. There was no way to double-check if they were legit, and then they asked me to go through security checks to prove it was me. No thanks, that’s sketchy as hell. Like lots of others, I gave Virgin Media the proper 30 days notice to end my contract. But when I got another bill, I called them up yesterday to double check if my cancellation had actually gone through (this was my 4th try to cancel!). They said it wasn’t cancelled, which was confusing. After looking into it again, they eventually said sorry and confirmed the contract was properly ended, telling me to just ignore the bill. Glad to be rid of that contract now, and I definitely won’t be using Virgin again. Really frustrating experience dealing with them.

I tried to sort out my contract with Virgin Media after they messed up and I wanted to cancel. I gave them a ring to get some answers but they just told me there was nothing they could do. The best they offered was 125mbps internet for £25 a month, which didn’t seem great compared to what else is out there. Ended up switching to a different company who are giving me 250mbps for £21 monthly. Honestly, if Virgin Media really cared about keeping me, they should have accepted my offer instead of chasing me after I’d already moved on to someone else.
