Got a call claiming they could lower my phone charges, but the moment I said I was on pay as you go, they just ended the call. They also kept going on about my phone acting up because it showed the call as spam or something. Bit odd if you ask me.

These callers are so frustrating and rude. They keep ringing back over and over without leaving any message. I've decided to block their number now.

I got a call from someone saying they were with O2, trying to tell me there were issues with my network. As soon as I told them I wasn’t an O2 customer, they just ended the call. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Totally a scam for sure. I have no clue how they got hold of my number in the first place.

I was informed by O2 that one can now access their accounts using Virgin credentials. I expressed my disbelief about this claim, and before I could even complete my thought, I received a text message from AIRTIME containing a PIN on my mobile.

This number has rung me twice within just five minutes, and neither time did I bother to pick up. Interestingly, they didn’t leave a voicemail either. From what I’ve been reading in other comments, it seems this is yet another scam related to O2.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 trying to hook me up with a 40% discount on my phone plan. Definitely feels like a scam about a contract!

I've been receiving incessant calls from this number, claiming to represent O2 and suggesting they have a special discount just for me. Quite bothersome, I must say!

Absolute con job!!!! Don’t let yourself be deceived; they’re definitely not linked to Virgin or O2.

I received a rather significant call regarding my SIM card from O2 Virgin Media. Honestly, it’s about time you lot sorted yourselves out. What a bunch of idiots! Clearly, just a bunch of con artists!

I received a rather amusing call from someone purporting to be from O2, claiming I was eligible for a 30% reduction on my monthly phone bill. The irony is that I don’t even hold an account with O2! The moment I mentioned this little detail, they promptly hung up on me. Quite the entertaining encounter, I must say!

I keep getting bombarded by various numbers claiming to be from O2. It has to be some sort of spamming ring set up by their employees, especially after they texted me about yet another rise in my bill by £15. That’s just infuriating! It really feels like a bunch of loners have banded together to stalk customers. Not only do they send unsolicited messages, but they also give you a ring when you’re preoccupied with other calls. It’s all quite unsettling!

I've received a couple of calls from these folks lately, and I must say, they provide a jolly good chuckle! I usually inform them that I don’t possess a mobile phone or an email. One chap got rather irate and told me to quit wasting his time! Quite the amusing exchange, really.

Absolutely fraudulent! They completely wasted someone's time on Tuesday, and I suspect they assumed I was gullible since I received another call today. They warned me that my phone would be cut off unless I agreed to their new SIM offer and insisted on confirming my email. Oddly, they even claimed that the number they rang me on (which is mine) would be blocked if I didn’t comply... but the kicker is, my number isn't even with Virgin - that's on a different device entirely! "John from the technical team" turned out to be just some guy sitting next to the first caller, and he hung up once I started to waste his time back!

I received a call claiming that Virgin Media and O2 have merged and that I’d need to get myself a new SIM card. I wasn’t too convinced, so I told them I'd reach out to Virgin Media directly for clarification. After that, I ended the call, and now they've blocked me. What a right palaver!

Rather akin to what others have noted, I encountered a chap who attempted to persuade me that my Virgin/o2 SIM card was on the verge of expiry. He kept insisting, "Will you accept, alright? Okay?" in a rather pushy fashion. Just as he mentioned transferring the call, I chose to terminate the conversation.

Somebody rang me saying they were from O2 or Virgin, saying my SIM was going to run out soon and asked for my email. It seemed a bit fishy, so I just ended the call.

Blimey, those callers were relentless! They kept urging me to verify my email address so they could supposedly shoot me a message. I suggested they share a snippet of the info they had on file, and I’d confirm its accuracy. Next thing I know, I’m being "transferred" to a slew of so-called "managers"-I reckon they were just passing the phone between themselves in the same room! Quite the performance, I must say.

I tend to steer clear of calls from unknown numbers, but having perused the other remarks here, it looks like this might be yet another nuisance caller. If it were from a business I actually engage with, I'd expect them to send me an email or a letter prior instead of bothering me with unsolicited calls.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from O2, and they were insisting that I could snag a 30% discount on my mobile bill. All they wanted in return was my account and banking information. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I got a call earlier today from this number, and they were after my email address. They were touting some fancy upgraded service with a tempting 20% discount. I didn't feel right about it, so I ended the conversation-something just seemed off. Then, a short while later, I had another call from someone else using the same number. They've also pinged my inbox with a couple of emails containing links, which I’ve chosen to ignore for now. Better safe than sorry, I reckon!

I encountered a chap who’s clearly up to no good, masquerading as a representative from O2. He’s keen on obtaining your email and persuading you to change your O2 password. After that, he’ll try to extract the six-digit code that arrives in your messages. Whatever you do, don’t share your email or that pesky code with him!

Do yourself a favour and block this number immediately - don't share any information with them! I just received a call from an Indian scam operation masquerading as Virgin Media. They claimed that I had an outdated O2 SIM card and insisted that I needed to switch to a new one, which they would conveniently send through the post within a few days. The thing is, I’ve got an eSIM, so I quickly realised it was all a ruse. Stay vigilant, everyone!

Got a call from +44 20 3978 6264 on Wed, 7th March 2024 at around 1:40 pm. There was that typical noisy office chatter in the background and a guy, sounded maybe South-Asian, said he was from O2. I told him I wasn’t a customer and straight away he switched to asking if I was with Virgin Media. It felt dodgy so I just hung up. Looked them up on WCM (massive thanks!), now blocked and reported as a scam.

Got another dodgy call supposedly from O2. Before, when I'd call them out for being fake, they’d just drop the line. But this lady just kept replying with ‘okay’ every time I said she was a scammer, carrying on with her spiel like nothing was wrong. I had to hang up while she was still going.
