Absolutely fraudulent! They completely wasted someone's time on Tuesday, and I suspect they assumed I was gullible since I received another call today. They warned me that my phone would be cut off unless I agreed to their new SIM offer and insisted on confirming my email. Oddly, they even claimed that the number they rang me on (which is mine) would be blocked if I didn’t comply... but the kicker is, my number isn't even with Virgin - that's on a different device entirely! Got a call from +44 20 3978 6264 on Wed, 7th March 2024 at around 1:40 pm. There was that typical noisy office chatter in the background and a guy, sounded maybe South-Asian, said he was from O2. I told him I wasn’t a customer and straight away he switched to asking if I was with Virgin Media. It felt dodgy so I just hung up. Looked them up on WCM (massive thanks!), now blocked and reported as a scam.
