Normally, I just ignore calls from unknown numbers, but for some reason I picked up this time. The woman seemed to know my name, which freaked me out a bit. Then she started rambling on about some government scheme for insulation grants. I cut her off and ended the call. Totally sounded like a scam to me. Cheers to this site for helping me check it out. Blocked the number straight away.

Answered the phone but no one spoke, then the call just cut off. Now I’ve gone and blocked the number.
