I've been dodging calls from this number for a while, but I finally picked up today. Even though the caller ID said London, the voice was definitely foreign - a lady with an Asian accent claiming she was calling on behalf of Amazon. She asked if I’d tried to order a new iPhone because that was showing up on my account. I just ended the call straight away.

They said they were calling from EE. I said I wasn’t interested, but they kept pushing, asking who my provider was. When I said it was private info, they argued it wasn’t. I told them they were breaking GDPR rules, but they didn’t seem to care. After the third time they called, I warned them I’d report them for harassment and threatened to call the Police. Proper cheeky lot!

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Indian, with loads of noise behind him. Said he was ringing from EE about some upgrade available on my number. That can’t be right as I just renewed my contract recently. Pretty sure it’s a scam. I told him I wasn’t up for it and ended the call. Haven’t heard from him since.

Beware of kontofx in Hungary, they're linked to some dodgy outfit called colnbrokez based in Cyprus. These lot are total crooks who keep blocking numbers and deleting reviews whenever I try to warn others! They always switch up their phone numbers and you’ll find loads of bad reviews about them on Trustpilot for their scams. They've even been blacklisted on a site dedicated to bitcoin scams, and there’s plenty of videos on YouTube exposing them too. Definitely shady people, speaking from personal experience here!

Kontofx, a so-called bitcoin firm operating out of Hungary, seems to have a dubious connection with its sister entity, Coinbrokez, based in Cyprus. It’s a right shambles, these individuals are nothing but con artists. Their call centre is a nightmare, staffed by non-English speakers. They ask for documents to supposedly verify a trading account, but it's all a front for identity theft. Just distasteful behaviour, to say the least. I make it a point to block and report them every single day.
