5 yearsI've received this call on a few occasions now, and I must say, it’s quite unnerving and distressing to hear. As if we haven't had enough to deal with during these challenging times! Who on earth are these despicable individuals, and why can't BT do a better job at filtering them out and alerting the authorities? Honestly, if it hadn’t been for a warning I spotted on the HMRC site, I might have been oblivious to the fact that this was a scam to begin with.HMRC5 yearsReceived a voicemail that’s clearly a scam. It was from a robotic voice, putting on an American twang, claiming to be from HMRC. They were menacingly warning about legal repercussions unless I returned their call on a certain number. They actually phrased it quite chillingly: "If we do not receive a response from you or your legal representative, brace yourself for the legal fallout. Farewell and take care," was the direct quote. Whatever you do, don’t ring back! It’s bound to be a premium rate line, and you'll end up shelling out a small fortune!HMRC5 yearsIt appears to be a con artist trying to solicit tax payments.5 yearsImpersonating HMRC, are they? That's quite the cheeky move!HMRC5 yearsThat automated voice from HMRC with that American twang is absolutely rubbish!HMRC5 yearsIt's a scammer - just received an automated call that was posing as HMRC.
