Just a couple of minutes before a bloke rang me, I got a text from Revolut about some authentication code and that someone from their team would get in touch soon. When the call came through, the guy said there’d been unauthorised activity on one of my Revolut cards and I had to log in to freeze it right away. He sounded proper convincing and all, but alarm bells started ringing when he then asked me to unfreeze the card and confirm an Apple Pay code sent by text. Seemed really believable but honestly, it was a complete con!
