Received a call from a rather eloquent woman yesterday. Very articulate, I must say!

My elderly mum got a call from this number, but thankfully her carer was there and picked up. When my mum began to say her postcode, the carer quickly stepped in. The caller had already found out she lives alone and owns her house. If you get a call like this, just hang up! It's definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were from ‘sp’ or something like espee, but I couldn’t track down any such firm online. They said it was a survey about how happy I am with my bank. First, they wanted to know my age bracket (18-24, 25-30, 31-40, 41-50, 50+), which I gave. Then they asked which bank I use, and that’s when I said I suspected it might be a phishing attempt and told them I wanted to hang up. They were polite and ended the call without any fuss.

The call came from a 0203 number, but I couldnt get to the phone quick enough. They didn’t leave any voicemail or anything. That number can be from pretty much anywhere, so no clue who it was.

Something felt off right away. They phoned me saying it was a satisfaction survey and already had my bank’s name, the company I’m with, and even my name. Then they began asking more and more specific questions bit by bit. I told them I didn’t want to carry on, and they just hung up straight away. I tried calling back from a different phone and the caller cut off. If this is genuine, my bank's really messed up using such a dodgy service.
