Got a call from someone saying they were with BT Migrations, asking if we still had copper wiring at our place that might be impacted by some planned work. They didn’t want to give much info though. When I checked with actual BT support, they said no, that number wasn’t theirs and no technician by that name was assigned. The guy called himself "Jeff Smych" (which honestly sounds dodgy, but he did spell it out for me). He seemed polite enough, but the story just didn’t make sense.

Got a call from some American lady pretending to be HMRC, saying I or my solicitor should ring them back or there'd be trouble. Honestly, that's nothing like how proper HMRC would speak, totally fake!

02039700425 - Got a call from a woman with an American accent saying she was from HMRC. She told me I needed to ring them straight away or get a lawyer involved. I’m not falling for that at all! Looks like a total scam to me. Last I heard, HMRC sends letters, not these weird automated calls.

Got a call from some American woman pretending to be from HMRC, saying it was urgent and I had to ring her back straight away. She gave out some division name and a phone number that looked dodgy, probably a premium rate. Total scam, no doubt about it.

I received a voicemail from Officer Dennis Gray urging me not to ignore his message. He insists that I either return the call myself or have a solicitor do so on my behalf. He made it clear that failure to respond could lead to some legal repercussions for me. Best to sort this out promptly!

I received a dodgy call purporting to be from HMRC! The message also mentioned some officer named Dennis Gray - but take note of the strange spelling with 'grey'! The caller had an American accent and was insistent that I should find a solicitor right away and ring back on their so-called urgent number. It’s all rather ridiculous!
