I received a rather alarming phone call earlier today purporting to be from HMRC. The individual on the line was quite menacing, warning that if I failed to respond, solicitors and who knows what other entities could get involved. The number that called me was 02039669930. Got a call from 02039669030 which flagged up as maybe dodgy. Didn’t pick up at first, but when I rang back the voicemail said some weird name like "big not" or something. Proper strange!

I got a call from someone claiming I'd won three lucky dips on this postcode lottery. The person’s accent was pretty hard to get, so I kept telling her “no” over and over. Still, she just kept going on and wouldn’t take no for an answer, so in the end I had to hang up on her.
