I received a rather peculiar phone call today from a chap with an unusual accent claiming to be from HMRC. He ominously mentioned that he was gearing up to initiate legal proceedings against me for allegedly dodging my taxes unless I promptly settled whatever he insisted I owed. Honestly, I have absolute confidence that I've always taken care of my taxes personally, and everything is in order. This has surely got to be a scam!
