I've received numerous calls from this same number, about twelve in total. When I finally picked up the phone, the individual on the other end claimed I'd hit the jackpot with ten lottery lines. They were quite persistent in trying to extract my personal information. Upon realising it was all a ruse, I swiftly ended the call. - number: 020 3966 4617

Since I’m deaf, I don’t bother answering unknown calls. I suspected it was a scam right away. Even though I’ve blocked loads of their numbers, they keep coming back with new ones. Guess I’ll just keep on blocking ’em. So annoying!

I got a call from a woman saying she was with the national lottery, telling me i'd won some cash. She also said something about the european millions, but her accent was a bit hard to understand. I told her i hadn’t entered anything and asked her not to ring me again, then ended the call.

Somebody called claiming I had snagged 10 spots in a EuroMillions syndicate for Friday. I kept pushing for info about any costs. After a bit, they said they'd be deducting cash from my account in a couple weeks and tried to get my bank info. When I refused, they said the supermarket already had my card details when I shop. I said, well, I authorise those payments myself, but this call was a surprise, so I thanked them and ended it. Guess I won’t be giving out my info after entering these contests anymore, lesson learned!

Some bloke with a really strong accent called asking for my hubby, saying he’d won 10 syndicated tickets in the lottery tonight. I don’t just hand out my number unless it’s to close mates or family, so I found it a bit fishy.

This number has been ringing me loads over the past week. First time they claimed they were coming to reinstall my washing machine insurance - I told them no and they dropped it. Then today a woman with an Asian accent called, said I’d won something with Lotto Direct on some online Euro lottery and congratulated me. I said I never play those online lotteries and she hung up pretty quickly. She never asked for any bank info but I’m sure that’s where it was heading. Definitely sounds like a phishing scam to me.
