I got a call saying I was due a £700 refund from some finance company. When I told them I never had any finance with them, they just cut the call straight away. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

So today I got called from 020 3966 4582, but from what I hear they use loads of different numbers. I tried ringing back just now, wanted to tell them a few choice words, but the number turned out to not be real. What a load of tossers they are. Also, I’ve read that if you talk to these lot, they can use AI to mimic your voice for more scams - brilliant, just what we need. Honestly, I hope they all suffer from endless stomach cramps that'll never quit! Oh well, seems my review only got a meh rating. Typical!

I got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from some kind of cleaning company. I couldn't quite hear the full name of the business after he said "cleaning." Then he told me I was owed about £700 as a refund or compensation and needed to verify my info so they could send it. When I asked where he got my number from, he just blurted out, “I stole it,” and then quickly ended the call. Definitely a scammer just fishing for my personal information.

Don’t bother picking up, it’s all scams - best thing is just to block the number straight away!

I picked up the phone and when they asked if they had my name right, I replied with "Well, that depends on what you're offering." Suddenly the caller snapped back, "I never said I was selling you anything!" Then they started talking over me louder and more pushy when I mentioned that spam calls usually try to sell stuff. They finished by calling me stupid and hanging up on me! Honestly, I’d recommend just ignoring this number if it rings you.

Funny thing is, I switched to a fresh sim and new number right before putting my info on the government website a couple weeks back. Only me has that number, yet I’m getting these calls. So yeah, looks like it’s the GOV selling our data. Thanks a lot, Starmer!!!

Cheers for all the replies! I tried calling back but it just went straight to voicemail without any message, so I’m gonna block this number now.

Even after I ended the call, they just keep ringing me back.

Car finance refund con, no doubt. I never agreed with the guy on my info but went along with telling him I’m swapping my Ferrari for a Bugatti this Thursday. He carried on taking notes, saying I could claim back £700, until I told him I’m a billionaire and asked why I’d bother with £700 when I literally throw that away. He then accused me of making it all up and said why would someone rich have car finance anyway. If you don’t mess about with these idiots, what else is there to do? Haha!

Usually, I can spot a scam just by the number or name showing up, but this time I ended up chatting with the caller a bit longer. I figured if I hung around, I could maybe stop someone else from falling for it. Then they started asking for loads more personal info, something about a “car finance refund.” I refused to give anything, and they just laughed at me before hanging up straight away.

This call just wouldn’t quit, really intimidating too. Tried blocking it but that’s more hassle than it’s worth. Feels like proper harassment, honestly.

Got a call from this place, sounded like some crypto trading centre trying to get me in on their scheme. Seemed like one of those call centres pushing crypto stuff. Pretty sure it was just a sales pitch for trading cryptocurrencies.

Every day they’re ringing me, total scam, and no matter how many times I ask, they don’t remove you from their list. I keep blocking the number but somehow they find new lines to bother me on. It’s so frustrating!!!

Answered the call but hung up straight away. Definitely putting them on my block list.
