It was a call centre, but I couldn’t catch the company name ‘cos the bloke mumbled. He kept saying something about energy prices and cutting down my bills. I told him I wasn’t interested once he started prying with questions. He kept ringing though, so I ended up blocking the number!

‭020 3966 2529‬ called me claiming I signed up for a Lidl card and said I’d won ten free lottery tickets each week for a month. Then they said it would be £39.99 a month afterwards and started asking which bank I use. They even said they didn’t want all my card info, just the last three digits on the back 😂 ridiculous!

I didn’t pick up their call so I phoned them back. A woman called ‘Linda’ came on the line. She seemed alright but said my phone number was signed up for some contest (under the name Megan, which isn’t me) and that I’d won 10 free Euromillions tickets. I said no thanks. She never asked for any personal details though. Still felt a bit dodgy to me.

How can we be certain that you’re not just as dodgy as the scammers from who knows where, constantly lying and pestering vulnerable folks all day long!
