5 yearsThey told me it was something to do with a Morrisons voucher, like a draw or something I had joined ages ago... like six months back or so!5 yearsJust got a call from some sort of p scam, sounded dodgy right away. Definitely don’t trust it!6 yearsGot a call today, felt a bit dodgy like a scam.6 yearsFor three weeks straight, I kept getting calls every single weekday.6 yearsThese scammers are total idiots, honestly.6 yearsSomebody called me up trying to get me to join some monthly lottery group. Seemed like a telemarketer and they wanted my bank info. Quite suspicious, I thought.6 yearsToday I received a call from someone pitching a lottery syndicate. They chatted about how winnings would be split among 150 people, which sounded too good to be true. They even dropped all my personal info like my full name, birthday and address to make it seem genuine. Felt off when they started asking for my bank details - sort code and account number included. Not very sure how dangerous that info could be in their hands, so I didn’t share a thing. Ended the call and blocked their number straight away.6 yearsGot loads of spam emails from these folks calling themselves offerx and get test keep, saying i joined some competition i have no clue about. Looks like a phishing scam trying to snag personal details. If you look them up on Trustpilot they seem really sketchy!6 yearsThey’ve been ringing me two or three times daily, and it’s been going on for about three days straight!6 yearsI got an email claiming to be from Argos saying I’d won a free gift. At first, it promised £500, then said I’d bagged £100. I didn’t bother checking the website or domain, but I was curious what sort of scam this was. I gave them a fake name, postcode and date of birth, just to see what would happen next. The only things I gave them that were real was my unlisted phone number and my email. Within a few hours, they emailed me again saying a free phone was ready for me - but I had to cough up £1 for delivery. That’s when I knew straight away it was a scam. They get you with the small fee, but once you start giving card details, they’ve got you for much more. After the weekend, I got a call but they used the phoney name I’d given, so I wasn’t polite at all. Later, a woman called with a foreign accent, definitely not British, asking for the same fake name again. Just because a phone number looks like it’s from the UK, doesn’t mean the caller is. Loads of these scams come from places like India or Pakistan. Sadly, as Brits, we’re often too trusting because of political correctness, even when it’s clear we’re being scammed.UKIndiaPakistan6 yearsI've been getting texts even after blocking the number and they call me like 3 times a day! Come on, surely that's a sign I'm just not into it?6 yearsEvery single day they ring me up, already knowing my name and saying I’ve won some kind of prize draw. I’ve had enough and blocked the number now.6 yearsThey've rung me 6 times in just three days. As soon as I picked up, they disconnected without a word. I suspect they’re after bank information, possibly to 'confirm' some sort of lottery winnings.8 yearsThey keep ringing me non stop.
