I've had the same person calling me every day for the past five days, pretending to be from Microsoft and then the NHS. It's obviously a scam and someone really needs to shut them down. They've even started ringing me in the middle of the night, so I've had to disconnect my landline just to get some peace. The police seriously need to step in and deal with these lot, it's getting ridiculous! #frustratedbeyondwords

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from Microsoft. She then handed the phone to a guy called 'Trevor', who sounded South Asian and just kept repeating some script about Microsoft. Pretty sure these are scam artists, not real Microsoft staff, cos they only knew my name and number, nothing else. Microsoft definately wouldn’t get in touch like this. Don’t fall for anything they tell you to do!

Just got a call from someone named Crystal claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my laptop was being hacked by scammers. Pretty clear it was a total scam. Lucky I wasn’t fooled.

The number showed up as unknown on my caller ID, so I just let it ring through to voicemail. As expected, there wasn’t any message left, so it’s gotta be one of those scam calls.

I've been getting calls from the same number, 0151 4561693, from a lady with a clear Indian/Asian accent. She kept messing up the pronunciation of my surname and the phone line sounded awful, really scratchy. I asked her why she left Liverpool for London and after a bit of awkward silence, she just cut me off.

This number, 02039622811, rang me twice this morning, first about 8.10 and then once more at 9.16. Both times it got cut off the moment the answerphone kicked in. Looks like just another one of those scam calls.

I got a call from a lady who said she was with Microsoft and that my PC was showing error reports they’d received. I told her that Microsoft never phones folks like that and called her out on the scam. She kept pushing, so I just told her she should find a real job instead.

Got a call from some dodgy person, kept repeating hello hello in a weird way. I could hear other voices in the background too. Definitely a timewaster and most likely a scam. These sorts usually try to scam loads of people at one time but they're not very clever about it. Feels like they're just reading off notes and aren't very tech savvy. The awkward silence they leave before speaking again is a clear sign something's not right.

Had a bloke ring me claiming he was from Microsoft and that my computer was at major risk. I played along for a bit, then told him I actually use Apple and Linux, and he got totally lost. I also mentioned I’m retired - I wish! They seem to call every single day. He did know some personal stuff about me, which freaked me out a bit. I reckon it might’ve come from that People’s Energy data breach.
