I got a call and left a message for my 91-year-old granny, and she was absolutely terrified! This really needs to be sorted out. The caller also used the name Gary Foster.

Had a call earlier today warning me about some lawsuit supposedly filed against me (she never actually said my name, but I guess details like that don't matter much when it comes to a scam). She was all about ‘serious legal consequences’ and kept pushing me to ring back straight away since it was “very urgent.” Claimed it was from HMRC, but then weirdly ended with “Goodbye and have a blessed day!” Seriously, when did HMRC ever say something like that?? Of course, I didn’t bother calling back to try and sort out these supposed “serious legal issues.” Totally a scam!

Got a recorded message from a woman telling me there was a lawsuit filed against us and it was urgent to ring them back. The number she gave was 0203 962 1179. I decided to check the caller’s number by dialling 1471 and it matched the voicemail number. Really annoying and stressful getting these scam calls constantly.

Got a robo call on my phone, totally feels like a scam!!! It’s really concerning, especially for those who might be more easily fooled. My advice to those behind these calls: maybe try working for an honest living instead of tricking folks out of their money. Companies like BT and others really ought to shield their users from these annoying calls. We’re paying for the phone line after all, so they should make sure we get a proper service!

If you’re feeling even a bit anxious after hearing the full message, it’s best to call a family member or a good mate. I can’t even begin to understand how distressing it must be for those already in tough spots. These people have no shame, picking on the most vulnerable.

I just got a voicemail from someone calling themselves "Officer Lisa Williams" from HMRC, saying there’s some legal action going on against me and that I should ring them back. They never bothered to mention my name once during the whole message. It’s really scary how some people might fall for this rubbish. Totally dodgy and worrying stuff.

I got a call like this too, saying I was in trouble with HMRC over unpaid taxes. The funny thing is, I don’t even file taxes! Normally, I just hang up straight away by hitting the red button, but for some reason this time it didn’t let me, and the message just played through. It’s awful that scams like this keep happening. Got a call from some lady’s recorded message in English saying I’m being sued by HMRC or something. Never once did she say my name or whether I’m a bloke or not, just this vague threat. I just ended the call and decided to punch 0471 into the start of that number - 02039621179 - to check it out here. Honestly, who’s got the power to track these scammers down and take legal action against them?

Some lady called me saying she was Lisa Williams from HMRC, gave me a number like '2039 62179'. I used 1471 and found out the actual full number. The way she ended the call with "goodbye and have a blessed day" honestly reminded me of something straight out of 'The Handmaid's Tale'!

I got a call from them at about 6.38pm, pretty much the same as others have said here. Heard about this scam a few months back and thought it was nonsense till now. They kept saying it was “really urgent” and if I didn’t ring back right away, I’d be in big legal trouble. It was really scary. Something really needs to be done to stop these phone scammers. I know I can block this number, but apparently, there’s another number they use for the same trick according to another comment here.

This morning, 20/06/18, around 10 am, I got a call from someone claiming they were with HMRC, telling me I had some sort of lawsuit against me. It all sounded totally fishy to me. Just got a text from an unknown number saying "this message is for you" but no idea who they meant as no name was given? Then it goes on about some urgent legal action against me and says I need to get in touch right away or I’ll face extra charges with no second chance. I was curious so I waited to hear more and they dropped a name, Lisa Williams. Thing is, the biggest red flag was the message signing off with "Goodbye & have a blessed day" - I’m pretty sure official folks like HM Courts don’t talk like that haha!
