My 9 year old son's phone, which we've never shared or signed up for anything with, has been getting calls all through the day. He's at school when the calls come in. It seems like Lebara might've passed on his number without us knowing. Quite annoying really.

Got a call from some woman pretending to offer a white goods warranty. She actually asked why I was chuckling! I told her she was dodgier than a snake’s belly. She had a laugh herself, and then I told her to jog on.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from Nationwide. She wanted to talk to my husband, but when I said he wasn’t here, she just ended the call. Felt a bit dodgy to me, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call again from Home Serve trying to get me to renew my white goods cover. I told them I don’t have any policy with them, I’m with a different provider. Then the guy said he was actually from D&G and asked for my card details to renew. I told him I had already contacted D&G last week after his call, and they said they don’t take card payments, it’s all direct debit. He kept pressing me for my card info and even argued when I said he wasn’t really from D&G. After I told him he was talking rubbish and definitely not from D&G, I just hung up. Not heard from him since.

Got a call from "Homeserve" about renewing my white goods cover. I mentioned I was busy with work and couldn't talk, but he just kept going on. Eventually I told him I wasn't interested and ended the call!

Got a call once more saying I supposedly have a policy with them, which I definitely don’t. Rang the office number to check and it’s all dodgy. Total scam.

I got a call regarding home insurance for electrical stuff. I’ve never signed up with them before, yet they kept saying I already had coverage that was about to expire. What shocked me most was how much they knew, even details about my husband who passed away ages ago. The people on the phone were really pushy and quite rude, didn’t take no for an answer at all. Properly unpleasant experience.

Got a call from 02039603330, claiming to be from some white goods insurance or something. Asked for my card info but once I said no way, they just hung up. Really dodgy scam, watch out!

Got a call earlier from a bloke speaking with a British accent claiming to be with Homeserve. He said he could help me save about £40 a year on my appliances insurance. Strange part was he already had my name, address, and even the expiry month of my debit card, which begins with a 4. He tried to get me to give him the updated expiry but I refused. I never signed up with Homeserve and I don’t pay anything for my cover using that card. I’ve informed my insurance company about the call and plan on reporting it to Action Fraud. Are these people scammers or just really risky?

Got a really pushy guy on the phone claiming to be from Homecare, trying to sell cover for my electrical stuff. He had the wrong address though. I told him straight up I don't have any cover and I'm not interested in paying either. Then he started saying I’d been paying up until 2018 and that they’d renewed the cover for me. When I asked him how much I’d supposedly been paying each month and since when, he just acted like he was checking it on his computer. I just cut the call there.

I kept getting calls from this bloke claiming to be from Homecare about some insurance for my electric stuff. He got the address wrong straight away. I told him I don’t have any cover and I’m not paying for anything. Then he said I’d been paying for it till 2018 and that they’d just renewed it for me. I asked him how much I supposedly paid each month and the exact date, and he started acting like he was checking his records. I just ended the call after that.

I got a call from 02039603330 claiming I could save on my insurance, but the details they had were way off - even the street name was wrong! Then they tried pushing me to hand over my card info. Total appliance scam, watch out!

Some bloke rang me pretending he was from Home Care. He started listing a bunch of household stuff he said I supposedly had insured with them, but none of it was accurate. He sounded really pushy and quite aggressive, so I just ended the call. Just a heads up, watch out for this one!

I got a ring from 020396003330 earlier today, supposedly from a firm named Homecare. We don't have any policies or agreements with anyone called Homecare. My other half kept the chat going until they started asking for our bank info and card numbers, so he cut the call off there. They tried ringing back immediately, but we chose not to pick up. I dialled the number myself afterwards, but it just wouldn't connect. Definitely a SCAM, even though they sounded totally legit and seemed to know some of our info. Watch out for these sorts of calls!

Got a call from someone saying they were from homecare, wanted my mobile and email. Didn’t even find out what they were selling before I hung up - definitely a scam. Honestly, shouldn’t the government make phone companies shut down these dodgy numbers? It’s getting ridiculous.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a homecare service. I told them I dont have any direct debits with them, but the guy insisted on an amount that was totally off. Then he suddenly acted like he messed up. Clearly no idea what he was on about. Just like others have said, he kept pushing that I was owed a discount and that my card info had changed last year so I needed to give him the new details. I told him to just send any renewal papers by post. He also got the list of appliances covered all wrong. Definitely gonna be blocking this number now.

The caller never said who they were or why they were ringing, even though they had the right first and last name for the number they called. There was loads of weird noise in the background, making the whole thing feel really creepy and annoying. Proper harassing behaviour.

Got a call from a bloke saying he was from Homecare, wanting to "inspect our appliances before sending the renewal documents." Thing is, our policy isn’t even up for renewal yet. This number rang me up claiming it was about my home appliance cover. They mentioned since I didn't have any call outs last year, my cost would be going down next year. Then they asked for my card’s new expiry date, which seemed odd since I pay everything by direct debit. Felt off, so I ended the call straight away. Later, they tried calling again yesterday but the moment I asked who it was, they just cut off. Pretty weird!

Today my elderly mum, who’s 85, got a call from someone claiming to be from a home care company saying she was owed £90 back on her insurance - which she definitely isn’t. I picked up because the caller, a really pushy and rude woman named Katie, kept ringing. She was dead set on speaking to my mum, but I refused. Even so, she kept going on about how my mum’s appliances wouldn’t be covered unless she spoke to them. Honestly, this sounds like a proper nasty SCAM!!

They were really pushy, kept asking for my card info for some home appliance insurance because they claimed my card was out of date. I refused to hand over any details to some random caller, but creepiest part was he already had loads of my personal info. I mentioned that Home Care isn’t the company I use for insurance and he just went on saying I’d been with them for four years. I told him I felt harassed and I’d contact my actual provider directly if needed, and then he got proper rude, so I just ended the call. Total scam, watch out!

Got a call from a guy claiming he worked for homecare, said my policy needed renewing and there was a £40 discount if I renewed now. Then he mentioned my visa card was out of date and asked for my new card info so they could send the updated policy. I told him straight up I wasn’t giving any details over the phone. He was really pushy and kept going over the same points. He said he’d ring me back next week.

A woman called, claiming to be from homecare insurance, saying they could lower my annual fees because I hadn’t made any claims. It all sounded legit at first, but then she said I'd already confirmed my payment info over the phone and that I have a 2 year policy - both of which are rubbish! Then kept pushing me to give my card details, but I told them they were wrong about everything. After that, the woman just told me to f off and hung up. Some bloke rang my mobile the other day, but I didn’t pick up. Then he called my landline asking for my husband, saying he was from some homecare company wanting to talk about insurance for our TV and washing machine that my husband supposedly got in 2017. Thing is, my husband passed away back in February 2013. It was really upsetting. Honestly, I have no idea how they got hold of my number, especially my mobile which I barely ever use.
