Because I get loads of calls, I usually just leave my answerphone on. Today, I noticed the caller was from some kind of wine investment company. I think I chatted to a firm like that years back. They might ring from a number ending in 738 as well, so I’ll have to look into that too. They’ve also been calling my mobile, but I just ignore those calls.

Got a call about investing in wine, but I’m not into that sort of thing - I just like buying wine to enjoy, not as an investment.

I’ve been plagued by this number for the past week, receiving a barrage of missed calls while I was busy at work and my phone switched off. Finally, on Friday, when I managed to finish early, I thought I’d finally get some answers. But as soon as I answered with a simple "hello," the caller just mimicked me, taking the mick out of my voice! There I was, just off a noisy bus on a bustling street, trying to explain the sound issues, but the caller, knowing my name, abruptly interrupted, saying, “Right [my name], I’ll have to cut you off now, alright?” and hung up! It’s so infuriating; after all that effort to reach me, this was the result! Now I'm bracing myself for another week of incessant calls while my phone remains switched off during work hours. What a right pain!

Had a chat with a bloke from Silvermere, he was sound and sorted me out with a senior broker. Just got invited to some event, really looking forward to it. Going to London with Jane, should be a right laugh! xx

This person kept trying to figure out if I was someone else by asking different names. Pretty clear it was a call centre going through a list of numbers.
