Got a call supposedly from HMRC saying my company’s in trouble and could be prosecuted. They told me I had to ring a certain number today. Didn’t make much sense since usually HMRC would email you if there was a problem. Smells like a load of rubbish to me.

I rang the number back a couple of times and both times it was someone speaking with an Indian accent. The first time, they claimed to be from tax compliance, but the next call was about HMRC fraud. Today, 27 Feb 18 at about 2:25pm, I got a call from 020 3958 4212. The person on the line, a woman with a very robotic voice, claimed I was the main suspect in some legal trouble and that my home was being watched.
