I received a call from someone claiming to be with RSU, supposedly a repair service here in the UK. They informed me that they were reaching out to discuss renewing the maintenance agreement for my washing machine. However, I must point out a couple of things: 1. I’ve never entered into any sort of maintenance contract with that company! 2. The chap mentioned that my machine’s warranty was about to expire and when I probed for the age of my washer, he stated it was only 4 years old. Little did he know, I’ve had that machine for over a decade! When I firmly told him I wasn’t interested in any renewal, he insisted I’d lose protection for my appliance. I waved that off, saying that was perfectly okay with me! It's blatantly obvious this is a total scam!
