Got a call from Quadrangle Research saying they were working for O2/Telefonica - I know them because I deal with O2 for work. My Account Manager warned me I might get a call from Quadrangle doing a customer satisfaction survey for businesses. If I was a regular O2 user at home, I’d probably just ignore it.

Feels like one of those spam calls. They said it was about a survey but when I asked what company they were from or more details about the survey, they just said "thanks, bye" and ended the call.

I picked up and the man introduced himself as Ivan, coming across as really friendly and sincere. Everything seemed alright at first - he read out some sort of terms and conditions, but didn’t actually ask me to agree to anything, just thanked me for listening. Then he asked which mobile networks I’ve used before. As soon as I said Virgin Media, the line just went dead. That’s when I realised something wasn’t right. Up until then, he sounded honest enough. I wasn’t about to share any personal info anyway, but glad the call didn’t progress any further. Watch out everyone. X

This number rang me on my work phone and it turned out to be a marketing firm. Apparently, my O2 account manager gave them my number so I could take part in a survey. The company’s called Quadrangle and they do surveys for O2 staff feedback, so in this case it wasn’t some dodgy or annoying call.

Got a call from someone called Patrick at Quadrangel claiming he was doing a survey for O2 mobiles. I told him the person he wanted was working from home and that I'd ask them to ring him back. He refused to provide a contact number and said he wasn't interested in continuing the call. I looked them up on Google afterwards and found out they're a market research company.

Got a call out of nowhere around 7.35pm and the bloke started off by telling me his name and saying he was doing some sort of mobile phone survey. He spoke so fast I barely got a chance to say anything. I managed to get out, "I'm just at home," but before I could finish, he just cut me off and hung up on me.

Got a call from someone who sounded Indian today, saying they could help me find a job and asking about my salary. I’ve got a call blocker through my phone company but it’s not doing anything. Who even are these people and why can’t there be a way to stop them once and for all?

Not sure what that was about. The caller ID showed "dangerous" and tagged as telemarketing. I answered while I was in the loo around 7pm. I'm registered with the TPS on my phone. When I called back, a message said something like: "If we contacted you, it was because another company shared your info with us - we’ll get back to you." I thought GDPR rules stopped sharing personal data like that. I only share my number with close family, friends, and legit businesses.
