Got a call from 02033187591 claiming to be from Microsoft. They said my laptop was hacked or something and that they would have to block it. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

This isn't just one number, there are loads similar to it, all with just the final digit different. They ring me at all times, no matter what time it is. When I answer, they just hang up straight away. It's really annoying.

My phone didn’t ring straight away, instead got this recorded voice saying something about customs. It told me to press 1 or else I might get arrested soon. After it finished, I just hung up and tried calling the number back from my home phone. Obviously, the number was totally unknown to me.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC, accusing me of being involved in some tax fraud, which is totally untrue. I told them I’ve only paid tax when I was working, and I’ve been off sick with cancer for the past ten years, so there’s no way I’ve done anything wrong. The call was mostly automated, warning me I’d be arrested if I didn’t press 1. I finally got connected to a guy who just hung up on me. Definitely a scam!

I usually dont pick up calls from numbers I dont reconise. Since they never left a voicemail or anything, I just went ahead and blocked the number. No idea who they were anyway.

Just before lunchtime on 15/01/20, I received a phone call. They started to say who they were but I couldn’t quite hear. Then they asked if I owned my property, and as soon as I said yes, they immediately put the phone down on me! Didn’t even get a chance to find out who was calling.

this lady called me and kept insisting i confirm my name. i wouldn’t give it and asked her where she got my phone from in the first place. she asked me again to say my name. i told her i’m on the do not call list, not in any directory and that this call is unwanted, likely a scam and against the rules. she then asked if i was finished talking and just dropped the line!
