8 years02039503674 rang me claiming my contract needed renewing. I told them I’d never consented to any contract on the phone, but they insisted if I didn’t renew, extra fees would be added. Definitely sounds like a scam to me. I couldn’t catch the name they gave and when I tried calling back, the line was dead.8 yearsSo this number rang me up claiming I'd agreed to some contract around this time last year and now I supposedly owe a last payment of £189. I asked how I made the first payment and apparently it was with a Visa card linked to my bank account. I told them straight up I wasn’t paying anything and they warned me about extra charges. I just said alright, send me the invoice and a copy of the contract I supposedly signed, and then the bloke just hung up on me. Honestly, this has to be a scam.8 yearsApologies, I just went back and saw that I incorrectly mentioned the account I use with my bank. What I wanted to say was the bank I use. Just to be clear, I have not shared any of my bank details with them at all.8 yearsI get calls from these lot multiple times every day. Honestly, there ought to be some law stopping these pests - they’re a real nuisance and deserve a fine. They never bother leaving a voicemail either, and I don’t have any call blocking set up on my phone.8 years02039 503674 Got a call from this number today (30th October around 2.30pm). The bloke said he was ringing from “COOL PROTECT” about some call blocking plan I supposedly “agreed to over the phone last year.” I asked him to repeat the company name because I thought he said “CALL PROTECT,” which I know is a free service from BT. He insisted I had signed up for something, but I told him I never had and had no clue what “COOL PROTECT” was. He just hung up after that. Watch out, these folks probably want you to hand over your bank info - don’t fall for it! 🤬BT8 yearsGot a call from someone pretending to be my mum, asking for bank card info. Felt fishy, so I hung up.Submit Your Own Report (020 3950 3674)
