7 monthsI thought I was dealing with an official Hewlett Packard support page and gave my mobile number to get a call back. Within minutes, a guy rang claiming to be from HP. To fix some printer trouble, I even let him access my laptop. As the chat went on, I started to feel uneasy and ended the call. Some dodgy signs were: 1. The super quick call back 2. He claimed the issue was with my laptop, not the printer, even though he said he was HP 3. Then he tried to sell me some security software for a small fee - that’s when I hung up.Hewlett PackardHP8 monthsJust had pretty much the same thing happen to me on Monday 03/11/2025. Watch out, folks!8 monthsGot a call from a company called 7SKY Enterprises, which seems to be an IT outfit. They tried to get me to let them into my computer, then told me it was riddled with viruses and pushed some firewall software for sale. Total scam, don't trust them. Even though the number showed as a local 020, they were definitely masking their location, probably using a VPN from India or somewhere similar. Wouldn't recommend picking up or getting involved with these lot. W7SKY EnterprisesIndia8 monthsI rang EPSON about my printer. Someone phoned me back, got into my computer and then told me I had a virus. They wanted me to pay £100 to sort it out!!! I ended the call and switched off my laptop. Absolutely NOT what I expect from EPSON.EPSON11 monthsI keep getting calls from what seems like an energy company, but they use a few different phone numbers throughout the day. It's a bit annoying to deal with.2 yearsGot a call not long ago from someone with a foreign accent who called herself ‘Siffra’. She asked for me by name. I said I wasn’t available and asked where she was calling from and what it was about. ‘Siffra’ said she was trying to help Senior Citizens. I told her I’d pass the message along and then ended the call. Seems like they’re going after older folks. Watch out.Siffra2 yearsSeemed dodgy, ended the call straight away.2 yearsAbsolutely shocked they rang up asking straight for my Dad by his name - he passed away nearly 9 years ago! Of course, it was some foreign voice on the line. Totally sick of these scam calls now.Dad2 yearsThis morning my nearly 90 year old mum got a call from this number that lasted about 20 minutes. They kept asking loads of questions about her health and then tried to convince her to buy Flexicare joint supplements that cost around £70. Thankfully, she declined. She’s had calls like this from the same firm before.2 yearsGot a call from this number, they claimed to be ‘senior health care’ folks based in Slough but said they were working in my area which is about 300 miles away. Then they asked if my wife had her flu vaccine. Didn’t go down well when I said that was private medical info.Slough2 yearsThis lady called claiming to be from some Wellness Centre. Seemed fishy to me straight away. I told her she probably wasn't gonna get whatever she was looking for and then she just hung up. Could be dodgy, I'd watch out.Wellness Centre2 yearsGot a call from this number on 4th Nov 2024 - it went straight to my voicemail but there was no message left. Looks like the number is linked to TrustPac, which I found out the FCA warned about back in April 2021 for not being properly registered. Sounds a bit sketchy to me.TrustPacFCA2 yearsSomeone rang claiming to be from Heath Care and said they knew about my recent health problems. She acted like she was doing a questionnaire so, naively, I answered a few questions. It actually was a sneaky attempt to sell me some tablets named Flexicare for my arthritis!!!Heath CareSubmit Your Own Report (020 3949 6389)
