Some bloke called himself an account manager for UKFirst, which they claim is some kind of investment firm dealing with stocks. Not sure if it’s legit or a con, but they push it as a chance to earn passive income.

I got a call from a bloke claiming there was some cash missing from my Crypto account. I kept listening as he went on about how they could get it back for me. After a bit, he said hello a couple of times, asked if I was still on the line, and then just hung up. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I keep getting rings twice daily from a number claiming it`s Spark Energy switching to Ovo Energy. I reached out to Spark directly and was told they don`t need any of my info and to just ignore those calls. Seems pretty dodgy to me.

Honestly, I found a much better deal elsewhere! I wouldn’t recommend Spark at all - they seriously overcharge!

So, someone rang saying they were my energy provider and that I had to sort out a switch. I already knew that OVO had taken over, so I thought it might be legit. To be safe, I rang Spark Energy myself today, and they told me everything switches over automatically, so I should just ignore those calls. Feels like they’re trying to scam people into signing up with them. Don’t hand over your info, just get in touch with Spark directly if you’re unsure. The person I spoke to was really friendly, and I didn’t wait more than a couple of minutes.

This number has been ringing me quite a bit lately, but I never pick up calls from unknown numbers - fed up with all these scam calls! I looked it up on Google and found this site. Turns out it’s connected to Spark Energy as well. Just had a look through my emails and saw one from Spark telling me they've merged with Ovo Energy and offered me a chance to switch to Boost, which is Ovo's special pay-as-you-go plan. Still, I’m not too keen on handing over my personal info on the phone.

If you’re with Spark Energy, they’re still handling your account, FYI. I just rang Boost Energy on 01173323728 after getting a call that turned out to be a sales pitch, trying to get me to switch. Honestly, it felt like a bit of a scam. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away. If you’re thinking about changing suppliers, make sure you’ve got your unit rates and standing charges handy first. Then either check out suppliers online or give them a proper call. Don’t hand over your info to these lot - they might switch you without your full say so.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from ‘spark energy’ and they somehow knew my name! They said they wanted info to switch me over to ovo energy since they’re taking over. Every time the guy started speaking, I just blurted out nonsense and he sounded totally lost. After a bit, I asked what details he actually needed, and he said calls are recorded and he’d have to redo the application. That’s when I blasted an air horn noise from my laptop right into the speaker. Proper scammers, honestly.

I got a call from someone claiming to be my energy supplier and asked how I'd prefer to get my bills. Since everything's already sorted, I told them I was happy the way things are and wasn’t about to hand over any details. They then pushed to change my payment method to “save cash,” but I’m already on the cheapest deal available. Definitely feels like a dodgy number to me.

Just got scammed, ugh! These lot called saying my gas company Spark Energy had folded and they were stepping in, so I gave them my info. Later, when I googled Spark and saw they'd actually gone bust, I thought maybe the caller was legit after all. What a mess!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Spark, pushing me to change my contract. They even said my service would get disconnected if I didn't agree. Seemed really sketchy to me, almost like a scam.

Spark Energy is honestly the worst electricity and gas provider I’ve ever dealt with. I’d seriously recommend steering clear of them no matter what, it's not worth the hassle.
