For the last half year or so, I've received over 30 calls from this number or ones that look similar. They claim to be from HMRC, telling me I owe taxes, that there’s an arrest warrant out for me and I’m about to be arrested in 15 minutes. One time, they even left a voicemail saying exactly this. I've stopped answering and blocked them but each week they ring me again. They seem to know my full name and address which is quite unsettling. The last time I answered, I asked for some sort of verification that they were actually from HMRC, but they just hung up. Yet, they keep ringing. I’m 74 years old and pretty aware, but I can imagine how scary this could be for older folks. The voices don’t sound British, more like Asian or Eastern European accents. I just wish these nuisance calls would finally stop, but so far no luck.
