A few days ago I entered one of those online competitions. After putting in my info, they kept ringing me loads of times every day. I just don't pick up. Whenever I block one number, another one just pops up. It only dawned on me what was going on when I got a text saying I had to ring them back and it would cost me 99p per minute to get a prize. I gave up on online competitions years ago because of this sort of hassle, so watch out!

Called about a lottery. Wanted my info so I said if he called me, he should already have it. Then he said he couldn’t share any details because of data protection. I told him I actually work with GDPR rules too and mentioned that, then he just hung up on me!!! Definitely blocking this number.

For the last few days this number has called me like 16 times. Every time I just hang up and block it, and also noticed calls from a nearly identical number, differing by only one digit. Sounds like a proper spammer to me. Really happy I found this website to verify what I suspected. How do these scammers even get hold of our personal phone numbers?

This number has been ringing me almost every day for weeks now. I never pick up since I don’t recognise it and it seems suspicious, plus they’ve never left a voicemail. But today alone I’ve had about 13 calls all day. On other occasions, the calls come as late as 10pm. It’s clearly some kind of scam, but I’m clueless how to make it stop. That’s why I searched it up and found this. I hardly ever do surveys or share my phone number, so I’m not sure how they got hold of my info. Proper dodgy stuff.

Sounds like a lottery rip off to me. When I asked about the weather in South Africa, they seemed shocked I knew. I mentioned their bad rep all over the internet and since then they have quit ringing me. Never give them any details, it might be risky.

Got a call from two women claiming I won free lottery tickets. They kept me engaged and sounded quite convincing at first, but then started pressing for my bank info and sort code. I've had this number, and a few slightly different ones, calling me for three days straight sayin' ive won some kind of competition (but they won't say where or what website) for 10 lines on the EuroMillions and want me to join a syndicate for more chances. They said they were from the lottery but even though the number shows as UK, when I asked they said they were calling from South Africa. This was the second time this number rang me. You could hear a bunch of people in the background, so it’s obviously a call centre, and both times the people had thick South African accents. I’ve blocked the number now after telling them to stop calling.
