I received a rather dubious phone call from a London landline, specifically 02033182923, claiming to represent Amazon. They proceeded to assert that my account was set to be debited £350.00. As I don’t even possess an Amazon account, I instantly suspected it to be a scam. To make matters worse, about twenty minutes later, I was disturbed yet again by a different suspect number, 0131 524 5061, followed about thirty minutes afterwards by yet another unsolicited call from 01382 755 085, all reiterating the same alarming message regarding an Amazon account charge. It appears these con artists are likely coming from the same dodgy operation. Fortuitously, I have a relative who works as a detective in the police force, and we've reported these unscrupulous individuals. Consumers, be wary of these scammers!
