Got a call saying my Amazon account was hacked, but something felt off about it. Just didn't sit right with me.

got a call from a guy with an indian or maybe pakistani accent saying i could get £3750 from PPI. i never filled out anything tho. he said he'd come over in a van with the money in an envelope and that we had to count it ourselves, plus buy two itunes cards worth £375 each. he said it was some government scheme. i told him he was trying to scam me and hung up. this was from a landline number.
