I got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from EE. She mentioned there’d been loads of complaints about the service lately and said they were planning to update my SIM card soon.

Somebody rang me claiming to be from EE, saying something about sending me a new SIM card and cancelling the old one. They wanted my personal details, but since I’m not even an EE customer, it was clearly a scam.

Got a call claiming to be from EE, and sadly my partner got tricked. They ended up deleting my EE ID, swapped the email address, and even altered the phone number to get the code for changing the password. Seriously, don’t pick up if you see this number!

Got calls three times in one day from someone saying they were EE. I kept telling them I wasn't interested, but they just wouldn’t stop. Ended up having to be quite blunt to get them to leave me alone.

Got two calls today. I picked up the first one but just let the second ring out. The caller said I was getting a new SIM card and that I'd have to enter a new number to activate it. I didn't trust it and ended the call pretty quickly, figured it was a scam.

Kept ringing me over and over. When I picked up, a guy said he was from EE Network and said because of the EE/BT deal, they were upgrading my SIM to 5G Plus. I told him I’d checked the number and it wasn’t actually EE, just a scam trying to pull a fast one. I asked him to just send me an email with the info instead, but strangely, he just ended the call immediately.

I didn’t pick up and didn’t get a voicemail either, so I searched this site and finally found what was going on. Honestly, best to just ignore these calls!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming I had an EE discount. Problem is, I don’t even use EE. Ended the call straight away and blocked the number after. Seems like these calls are just scams to get your info and pass it to others. Probably best to ignore and block, or you’ll just end up on their list of easy targets.

No clue what company they were actually from, but my advice is to just block and never share your details with them.

Over the last two days, I've had a couple of calls from this same number. The first one claimed to be about the EE and BT merger, saying I'd need a new sim for 5G. Since my mobile is with Vodafone, I told them it wasn't relevant and hung up. Today, the same London number called again, now pretending to be about my Vodafone phone, which seemed fishy since I already told them I’m with Vodafone last Friday. I cut off the call right away!

Got a call from a bloke saying I was with O2 and checking if I was happy with the signal. When I told him I wasn’t actually with O2 and asked who my provider was, he had a kind of Indian accent. Then as soon as I asked where he’d got my number from, he just ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam to me.
