The woman on the phone was talking really quickly and her accent was thick, making it hard for me to catch more than a few words even after I asked her to say it again. The only bit I made out was something about "card services". Since it had nothing to do with me, I just hung up. Sounds like one of those Indian call centres.

Just got a call where they tried selling me an iPhone, bit sus if you ask me. Could this be the start of a new scam?

I got a call from some phone woman with a thick Indian accent, I hardly understood a word she said. She said she was from the electricity company, but when I asked which one exactly, she just said “the electricity company” again. It was so frustrating, I just ended the call right there.

They called again, but from another number as usual. Honestly, it's getting ridiculous how many times these guys keep ringing me. Missed it once more today.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the Energy Department. Didn’t fancy the sound of it, so I just ended the call straight away.

If you're on the TPS list, don't pick up calls from those card machine firms. It's definitey a scam. Just hang up and stay safe.

They keep ringing me from the shop most days and just won’t take the shop number off their list. Really annoying!

They kept ringing non stop so I just started ignoring the calls.

I picked up but didn’t say anything, this Indian guy just kept saying “hello?” over and over. I stayed silent. After a bit, he mentioned something about energy, then suddenly switched to talking about card machine support? Didn’t reply and after a couple mins he just ended the call.

Got a dodgy call from an Indian number - definitely a scam.

I got a call from a woman who talked really quickly and her accent was quite thick. I had to ask her to go over what she said again. She was talking about card readers and some really cheap deals. When I told her I wasn’t interested, she just ended the call herself. Good thing I didn’t have to get rude and hang up on her.

This number has phoned me loads of times but never left a voicemail. The last call was from someone who didn’t speak English properly and said they were calling from O2, but the number is actually a Tesco Mobile one! Very fishy.

They were acting like they worked for the energy company, but I knew it was a scam.

Got a text saying I missed a call from this number at 10:17 on 1st Nov. It was some free call alert thing from O2. They told me to dial 901 then press * and 5 twice to stop it. But my phone never actually rang, so I didn’t really miss anything.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, trying to push an upgrade on me. I told him I’d prefer to check any deals myself on their site, not over the phone. Then he wanted my O2 email, which seemed dodgy, so I mentioned if he was legit, he’d already have my info. He said it was some “static offer” that I had to accept, and when I asked what that even meant, he didn’t reply and just ended the call. Definitely felt like a total scam.

Got a call claiming there was an important offer about upgrading on O2. I told them I’m not even with O2, and they just ended the call straight away. Definitely seems like a dodgy scam call centre to me.

Somehow they managed to get my name and claimed they were calling from 02, but I’ve never been with 02, so it’s got to be a scam for sure.

I almost fell for this one! They ask sneaky questions and try to get you to give your bank info, claiming it's for a refund. Luckily, I caught on before handing anything over. Definitely a scam number to watch out for.

Got a call today claiming they needed to chat about our electricity deal, but it was pretty clear they weren't from the firm that supplies us. I just politely ended the call. They didn’t mention which company they represented, which to me screams cold-calling scammers. No real info given at all.

Got a call from someone with a strong Asian accent who said they were from 'Xenix Tech Ltd', asking questions about our card machines. They wouldn’t give any personal info, and when I told them to stop calling us, they just ignored it. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

Got a call, picked up and the person just cut the line off straight away. A few minutes later, the phone rang again. This time, a woman with an Indian accent said, "Hello ma’am, how are you today?" which immediately set off alarm bells. I asked her who she was, and she replied in broken English something like, "This call is about the card machine department." I wasn’t convinced at all and told her as much before she disconnected. Pretty sure it was just some kind of scam.

Most of the time these scammers just drop the call as soon as you pick up, or they begin spouting nonsense right away! Proper irritating they are!

The call had loads of background noise, kinda like a busy call centre. The person on the line spoke with an Asian accent and kept asking to speak to the manager. I've already told them to take us off their calling list.
