Received a call from this number yesterday; picked up but the bloke just kept repeating 'hello'. I eventually hung up on him. They rang me again at the same hour today, but I chose not to answer. Given the remarks from others, I'm leaning towards blocking the number for good.

I missed a phone call recently thinking it might’ve been HMRC calling me back. They had told me that when they ring back, it could show as a private or withheld number. But I know all their numbers begin with 0300, so this call for sure wasn’t from HMRC.

She insisted repeatedly that she wasn't trying to sell me anything. However, the conversation dragged on. Her accent was quite thick; I struggled to make sense of what she was saying. Every time I attempted to respond, she'd urge me not to disconnect, insisting she had no sales pitch. Eventually, I decided enough was enough, hung up, and promptly blocked her. The only reason I initially picked up was that the number was from London, and I was anticipating a call from that area.
