There’s this absolute joker trying to peddle some supposedly fantastic offer for O2. The thing is, I’ve never been an O2 customer-not now, nor in the past! So clearly, it’s just a dodgy scam. I let them have it with a barrage of my finest Irish expletives!

I received a call that seemed to originate from O2, with a rather bustling call centre ambience in the backdrop. The person on the line was touting a remarkable 40% discount on my existing contract. To be honest, it all felt a bit suspect and like it might be too good to be genuine.

I received a call from a chap named "Ali," who was claiming to be from O2. He said, "Nothing will change on your contract, but we can offer you a 40% discount on your bill." He was eager to confirm if I was the main account holder. When I quizzed him about the location of O2’s headquarters, he answered correctly! I informed him that I hadn’t been with O2 in ages, and I’m not a customer anymore. I requested to be taken off their list, which he acknowledged, admitting there had been an error on their part. I can’t say for certain if this was a scam; it’s rather difficult to judge. Nevertheless, I have to give Ali some credit for not just ending the call abruptly. Whether there’s any truth to his offer remains to be seen!
