It suddenly struck me that my subscription is actually managed through Magazines Direct, while Future Publishing merely produces the magazine. I refrained from providing my bank details and instead requested that they send me an email, as I didn’t have the necessary information at my fingertips. I could sense the caller's irritation as they pushed back, saying things like, "Can't you just provide your details right now?" and trying to persuade me that sharing my bank information immediately would be more convenient. After a quick search, I discovered that Future Publishing doesn't even use that phone number; it was clearly a scam attempt.
