There’s a couple of posts explaining how to actually put a stop to these dodgy foreign scammers who’re fleecing vulnerable folks and pestering the rest of us constantly. It does take a bit of graft, but I’ve started reporting all scam calls and texts to the police database - got the address bookmarked for easy access. The thing is, it needs thousands of us doing this regularly before any real change happens. Loads of people report scams on this site every day, but don’t expect quick results. Still, if nobody bothers to act, these scams will just carry on like this forever.

I’m on the telephone preference list and all, but this woman called asking about my driveway, like she knew me or something. I hung up straight away.

I've been getting calls from 02039257111, someone called John from Driveway or something, about five times over the past few days. He said this afternoon he'd add me to their 'do not call' list', but then about an hour later, a lady with a foreign accent called me again. When I mentioned the 'do not call' list', she did say sorry. Thinking of contacting my MP about this, like someone suggested here.
