Got a call the other day telling me it was urgent and to ring back to speak with an officer, even mentioned my solicitor’s name which freaked me out a bit. Then I remembered I’d just been filling out a form on the government tax website and had entered my number there. Kinda obvious it was a scam though, felt dodgy straight away.

Today, got a call from this number, they claimed to be from HMRC. Said it was urgent and I had no time to waste. They kept insisting I needed to get my lawyer involved right away or else there’d be serious trouble. Felt dodgy to me.

I got two calls from them today and both times they left the exact same voicemail. It was pretty clear it was a scam, a recorded message warning me to ring an officer with my solicitor info or else there’d be trouble. Total rubbish if you ask me.

got a voice message from ‘hm revenue’ sounding all urgent, saying it’s really serious and i need to reply fast. they warned if neither me nor my lawyer gets back to them, there’ll be big trouble!
