I got a call and they left a message pretty much like the one mentioned here. I'm waiting on a big refund from HMRC and was expecting a call about it, which probably made me more gullible. I rang HMRC myself and they told me they hadn’t been in touch with me at all. Watch out, this seems like a scam!

Got one of those scary voicemail things from someone pretending to be HMRC. Ringed the number back and a bloke with a serious tone started asking for my personal info to 'investigate' the reason for the message. Then he said there was a case opened against me for tax evasion and gave me some case number to quote. I asked who exactly had made the claim and he went quiet, said he’d look into it and get back to me, then just ended the call. Complete rubbish if you ask me.

Received a call, but I chose to ignore it and didn’t get in touch afterwards. It's truly disheartening to think there are individuals out there who believe this sort of thing is genuine. I really detest the notion of people being scammed!

I received a text from this number claiming to be from HMRC, urging me to return the call or risk facing some legal repercussions if I don't respond. However, when I tried ringing back using my work phone, there was no reply at all. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Today, I received a call from an automated voice claiming to be from HMRC! They asserted that I was on the brink of facing legal action for tax evasion and insisted that the only escape from this predicament was to settle my alleged debts. There were various options to press for different ways to pay up. Clearly, this is a con!

Got a call from this number and it was some weird robotic voice claiming to be Dennis Gray from HMRC. Didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number, but then I found a voicemail from them later. Complete rubbish if you ask me!

Got a voicemail earlier from this number, with some automated voice going on about being from HM Revenue and Customs. Said something like, "This is officer Dennis Gray... call 02039236296 immediately." It kept repeating the number and warned about legal trouble if I don’t ring back or have my solicitor contact them. Seemed really fishy, so I just deleted it without bothering to call.

I recently got a voicemail from a digital female voice, sounding rather robotic, claiming to be from ***HMRC***. It urged me to ring back at 020 3923 6296 or risk facing legal troubles. Curiosity got the better of me, and when I called, I found myself speaking to someone by the name of Nancy, who professed to be with 'HM Revenue’. She alleged that I was in debt to the tune of £3,424 for tax, and handed me a case ID as if it were a ticket to the theatre! She insisted I needed to settle the amount right away over the phone to dodge any potential legal repercussions. To add to the absurdity, she suggested that someone might show up at my home or workplace during office hours to explain all this to me. Honestly, it threw me off balance during my busy day, and while I was tempted to pay, I said I’d only do so if they could send all the pertinent legal documents to my registered email with HMRC. Suddenly, she seemed flummoxed, unable to provide a straight answer, and instead tried to fish for my debit or account details. At that moment, it dawned on me that this was undoubtedly a SCAM. Sensing my hesitation, she abruptly ended the call. Downright aggressive and alarmingly persuasive. ***SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT***

I noticed a missed call from 020 3923 6296 and decided to ring back. A man answered, claiming to be from HMRC and asked what he could do for me. When I mentioned I’d missed their call, he abruptly ended the call. 020 3923 6296 Received a call from this number, supposedly representing the 'Inland Revenue'. It was one of those automated voices, you know, the ones that sound all robotic, instructing me to ring them back or face legal consequences, either to me directly or through my solicitor.
