Some bloke called saying he was from a Housing Repair lot. It all sounded a bit off, so I asked if he’d actually been in touch with my agency to check. Instead of answering, he just went over his intro again. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

I picked up the phone and instantly knew it was a scam. The bloke claimed I’d reported some housing issue, but when I asked him when that supposedly happened, he just cut me off. He sounded so robotic, but honestly, I’m not falling for any of their tricks! 🫣

SCAM ALERT! Got a call today from 02039210859 claiming to be handling housing repairs for councils all over the UK. They said I’d put in a request to sort some repairs through my council. Thing is, I live in North Yorkshire, but they’re based in London - sounds fishy right? They said there was a leak in my bathroom that needed fixing, but my council actually came out and sorted that about a month ago. The call was automated, you could hear it clicking before you answer. I told them to jog on and their only response was “sorry, what did you say?” Avoid these lot at all costs.

Got a call from 020 3921 0859, the bloke said he was from some “Housing Repair Team”. He spoke with a sort of southern English accent. I just told him “No, thanks, goodbye” and hung up. I’d say be careful, especially if you’ve got elderly relatives around. This could be some kind of scam trying to get money from folks who might not be so aware. Make sure you tell your family and anyone you worry about to watch out for this number.

Home Repair con trick. I asked: where are you located? The scammer said: London. I then pressed: which street? Got this reply: Sorry? I asked again: street name? He said Oxford Street. I questioned why I can’t find their business on Google. Then he suddenly said sorry and hung up. I missed quite a few calls from them and love messing with these lot, especially when they think they’ve caught me out. Lately, they’ve been craftier, using automated recorded calls. When I said "I can’t understand you," the message just repeated back. Bottom line - totally a scam, no doubt about it.

I got a phone call from what sounded like a really natural robotic voice saying it was from the Housing Disrepair Company. It started asking me about any damp issues in my home. I chose not to answer any of the questions and then it just went straight into some kind of goodbye message. It honestly sounded like a genuine person at first, but the whole thing felt pretty dodgy.
