The caller ID first showed an international number so I blocked it and made a note of the time. About 10 minutes later I checked again and the international number was gone, replaced by 02039181386. This has happened twice now with different landline numbers appearing after the international call. I've blocked both of these numbers.

Recently, I received a rather odd call from someone named Claire who inquired whether I was Mrs Jones. I assured her that I wasn’t, yet she pressed on with her rapid-fire spiel. It seemed she was trying to persuade me into a free boiler installation through the Eco Free Boiler Scheme, eager to gather my personal details. She claimed to be hailing from Burnley and then inquired if I was receiving any benefits. Curiously, my husband received a follow-up call from a Burnley number, 01282612211, just a few days after. Clearly, this is nothing more than a dodgy scam! She even mentioned she’d be in touch with my wife later in the day. What a cheek!

One time, I even got a voicemail three times telling me I was about to be arrested over debts, spoken in a really odd accent. These call centres are such a pain. This number has rung me a couple of times now. The initial call was on 22nd May 2019 around 4:45 pm, and then they called again just this morning, 14th June 2019, at 10:54 am. I didn’t pick up as the number looked unfamiliar. If it's something urgent, they can always leave a voicemail that I can decide whether to listen to or just delete. Whenever I get a chance, I jot these calls down in a spreadsheet to keep track of them!
