Had no clue who was calling, so I let it ring out. No message left either, so honestly, why bother with these time-wasting telemarketers? What a load of rubbish!

I mentioned I didn’t own a washing machine, and they just cut me off right after. Seemed like a warranty call, but no chance to explain.

Got a call from a young woman with an English accent trying to sell washing machine insurance. I just said "scam call" and she hung up straight away!

I just got a call on me mum’s landline about their washing machine, asking if she was satisfied with it. She said she was quite happy, but then the line went dead before any other strange questions popped up. Sounds like it could be one of those warranty scams to me, honestly.

Just got a call on my home phone. They were asking about my dad who’s passed away, then started asking for my mum. After that, they wanted to know who I was. The call got cut off suddenly right after that.

I didn’t have a clue who was calling, so I just left it to ring on my voicemail. The moment I heard it pick up, the caller just ended the call.

This number rang me earlier today, and the woman on the line actually knew my name. She claimed it was about a washing machine insurance, but I don’t even own a cover for my washing machine, which is ancient anyway, over ten years old. I told her to buzz off and ended the call. Then, a few minutes later, the phone rang again. It was the same person, confirmed it was me, and then out of nowhere she said something like "your… something has arrived" and shockingly wished for my mum to die before hanging up. Really bizarre and rude behaviour.

I answered the phone and she actually knew my name, which was a surprise. Then she started talking about a washing machine supposedly linked to my house, but it was completely wrong. I told her she must have the wrong number and then ended the call.

I got a call from a woman who said her name was Charlotte and she was ringing about some extended warranty for a washing machine, supposedly for a flat on the 2nd floor in Hove. When I told her I didn’t live there and had no such flat, she just ended the call straightaway.

Got a call from someone saying she was Sarah, talking about a warranty on my washing machine. When I asked what brand, she said Bosch. I told her I’ve never had a Bosch washer, so basically she was talking nonsense, and I ended the call. This kind of scam has popped up at least three times this month, each time from different phone numbers. Honestly, just mention a brand you’ve never had, and you can catch them out easy enough.

I got a call from a woman trying to sell me an extension on a lapsed washing machine warranty. She mentioned my name but rattled off an address that was totally unfamiliar to me. I just muttered something vague, wanting to figure out what her real game was. After a bit, she got annoyed and started calling me strange for dragging out the call. Since the call came from London, I reckon what she was doing was pretty dodgy and likely illegal.

I got a call from a woman named Millie who mentioned something about my washing machine. She already had my name and address, which was a bit concerning. Since we've got a service plan for it, I asked which firm she was representing. She muttered something like PYG or something similar, which didn't match the company we deal with. When I asked her what she wanted, she just lost it and shouted some really rude stuff at me like "F*** off you ***** B****"!!! Absolutely crazy. Of course, I couldn’t get a number to ring her back or lodge a complaint.

Got a phone call from a lady saying the insurance on our washing machine was about to run out. Thing is, we've never had any kind of coverage or guarantee for it. Felt a bit dodgy, like it might be one of those scams or phishing attempts.
