Looks like a scam to me.

Called me twice claiming to be from O2, trying to sell me a deal. I found it suspicious, so I’ve blocked them now. Also made sure to report it to O2!

They’ve rung me multiple times ever since I mentioned that I struggle with dyslexia. I told them I’d need to check my email to figure out how to spell it over the phone. I reckon I might just lead them on for a bit longer before I finally tell them to bugger off!

5th February 2024 - Had a call from an unidentified number, so I decided to ignore it and subsequently blocked the caller.

We actually fell for a scam, which was gutting. Thankfully, the genuine O2 didn’t take any money from us. Definitely learnt our lesson this time.

I’m absolutely fed up with these relentless spam callers pretending to be from O2, with that unmistakable Indian twang, trying to peddle discounts and whatnot. It's so tiresome! Just ignore them, they’re such a nuisance!

I've received yet another dodgy call claiming to be from O2. It's quite curious, isn't it? Why is it always O2 that these scammers choose to impersonate?

I received a call from someone asserting they were with O2 or Virgin, insisting they could upgrade my deal since I'm supposedly an O2 customer-news to me, as I’m actually not! It’s quite entertaining how disgruntled they become when you confront them about their dishonest tactics. When you challenge their integrity and call them out as frauds, they don’t stick around for long. Haha!

Total scam! I received a call claiming to be from "O2," trying to entice me with a 30% discount. However, when I asked how much I was currently shelling out or what my registered email was, they couldn't provide any answers. They got quite pushy too, so I ended the call. What a joke!

Purporting to be from O2, yet it’s evident that they’re not.

He mentioned that if I was experiencing any issues with the O2 network, he could assist. He then proceeded to suggest a discount, but when I declined, he nonchalantly replied, "Fine, it's your choice," before abruptly ending the call. Quite the service, isn't it?

I just got a ring from this number and they said they were from O2, sounded like they had an Indian accent. They asked me for my email, and when I told them I thought it was a scam, they kinda got annoyed. Definitely felt dodgy to me.

Got a call that felt like a scam, definitely dodgy.

I told them off for even thinking of scamming decent folks, and then the guy goes, “I’ve already hacked you.” Honestly, what a bunch of utter lowlifes. It’s just ridiculous.

Got a call from someone saying they were with o2, but when I asked them to confirm my account info, they just handed me over to another person. That second person went proper rude when I said I wasn’t going to keep chatting without some proof. Then they told me not to answer their calls anymore and ended up swearing at me, calling me all sorts 😂

Earlier today, I was subjected to a couple of phone calls which were rather unpleasant, to say the least. Each time I dared to ask for some kind of verification, the tone from the other end became increasingly abrasive. They claimed to be associated with O2 and Virgin Mobile, supposedly involved in a network upgrade for 5G and implementing measures against fraudsters. However, things took a turn for the worse when I pointed out that they seemed rather scammy themselves. It wasn't long before they abruptly hung up on me! I suppose I won’t be troubled by them again, and frankly, that’s a relief!

Someone called saying they were from O2, spouting some rubbish about moving portals or something. Then they wanted my email for the "transfer" - I said isn’t that info they already have and refused to give it. They rattled on about security stuff, but I just told them I’m fed up with their scams and then the call was cut off.

I've got no connection to Virgin Media whatsoever, so I'm pretty certain this number is dodgy. I missed their call earlier today, but I've turned to your site for some clarity. Much appreciated!

I received a call purporting to be from my O2 network. When I declined to engage, the woman on the other end let out a noticeable sigh and promised I could receive a discount without any effort on my part. She inquired about my satisfaction with their service, then mentioned she’d connect me to another team. I firmly reiterated my refusal to continue the conversation and hung up.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin Media, telling me they had a special discount available for my mobile plan. They then proceeded to request my email address as well as the name of my first pet - a rather strange request if you ask me. After discontinuing the call, they had the audacity to ring me again not once, but twice! I decided to cut it off completely as it all felt very dodgy. Definitely seems like a bit of a scam to me!

Got a call from what looked like a London area code, but the woman said she was with O2. Funny thing is, I’d already had a couple of calls earlier that day from 0330 numbers, also saying they were O2. I told her straight up to stop calling me or I’d have to report them.
