My wife got a call from some guy called Jack Williams from 716 Investments talking about Carbon Credits. He said he had sent me an email but claimed it bounced back, which seemed a bit dodgy to me. I’m pretty sure it’s just another scam trying to fool us.

I encountered a group trying to engage in the buying and selling of carbon credits. Definitely felt like a dodgy scheme. Seems like a classic case of investment trickery, if you ask me.

On 4th March 2024, got a call about buying or selling CARBON CREDITS. Yeah, right, no chance I’m getting involved with that.

Got a call from someone called James White claiming to be with 716 Investments. They were pushing some pretty complex financial products that don’t seem suitable for regular investors like me. I looked them up and there’s barely any info about them on the internet. Apparently, they pulled in about £10 million according to Companies House, which sounds worrying given they’re not FCA regulated. I’ve already flagged this to the FCA to see what’s going on. You might want to be careful with these lot.

A bloke called me saying he could help sell my carbon credits from back in 2012, but wanted me to pay a fee first. I had a feeling it was a con straight away and told him as much.

I answered and asked who it was, then the person said hello and asked how I was before suddenly hanging up.
